The Riverwood Rays 2023 first meet is in the books!

  • Elijah Hammons
  • Mackenzie Leonhardt

Double Winners:

  • Frankie DiGiovanni
  •  Liam Muminovic

Most Improved:

  • Paddy Farrell
  • Zelda Glanzmann
  • Sage Gorlesky
  • Ethan Leonhardt
  • Gavin Ramirez

  • Logan Yarborough

Most Valuable Teammates:

  • Sophia Godbout and Hazel Levine swam up in the 13/14 relays. I will say even though all 11 and Up’s swim 50’s, swimming up in these age groups is no easy task! So, thank you for being so brave!
  • Harper Batts had an injury in her 50 butterfly but kept swimming and finished her race for her team. Way to be strong!

You can find more results on Swimtopia at Riverwood.Swimtopis.com and clicking on the meet under “Schedule”. This is also where you sign up!

Star Volunteers and Parents:

All of you are a star in my book, but a few stepped up in a very special way.

  • Nick Pittman! His son could not make the first meet, but he signed up as our stroke and turn judge anyway. Thank you!
  • Laura Hammons! She stepped up for a timer who was unable to attend the meet due to an emergency. Thank you!

The coaching staff is so proud of each and every swimmer, they have all come a long way in just a few short weeks! Practices may be hectic, and some may have trouble with so many other swimmers around them, but we notice at each meet the real improvement that these kids make and how they do listen, even though sometimes we get a few blank stares.

Swimmingly,

Coach Andrew
