Home Of The Riverwood Rays Swim Team

We are excited to announce that, in conjunction with The Fred Smith Company Sports Club, and for the purpose of giving our interested students and members of FSC Athletic clubs an opportunity to take an initial step into competitive swimming, HLSA will be running the Riverwood Rays Summer swim team  again for the 2024 season.

Scott Hammond  will be handling the administrative duties and working with the parents and coaches to run the team. This falls in line with offering members a top to bottom aquatics program at Riverwood.

The Rays will again be competing in the Tarheel Swimming Association (TSA).

There will be six swim meets throughout the summer and this year the three home meets will take place at the Riverwood Athletic Club indoor pool.

Andrew Johnson and Rachel Strickland will be Co-Head Coaches. Co- Assistant Head Coaches, Izzy Grimm and Jonathan Raynor and possibly more. Andrew’s history with swimming is vast, which makes him a great candidate to help improve upon the already successful Riverwood Rays program. Rachel is a division 1 college swimmer at Liberty University. We will hire additional coaches to help out.

H&L Swim Academy is excited to be involved with this program and we look forward to a successful summer swimming season

We will again need parent volunteers to help organize and run this program.

More details will follow later this season and we look forward to seeing you all this summer. If you have any questions or concerns about the Riverwood Rays and summer swimming, contact Scott at info@HLswimacademy.com or by submitting a contact form here.
