Scores and Meet Highlights:
Riverwood Rays 191 VS Springdale 315
The dual meets have officially begun! If there were any major hiccups, the coaches had no idea. We would like to give a big thanks to our TSA Reps and all the volunteers that helped the meet run so smoothly.
The results are in! Springdale is a very good team. They have many club swimmers ranging from 7 to 18 and we hung in there through most of the meet. Being a division above us and at their home pool, they only beat us 315 to 191. That may sound like a lot but in reality it was still a close meet. That is the difference of just over a handful of relays and about 15 individual races. Let’s use this as motivation as we continue the summer season!
The coaches are so proud of all of our swimmers! We had 94 swimmers with 277 individual swims. Out of those 277 swims, 111 were faster. That is a 40% improvement from just a week ago at the inter-squad meet and a few times from last year.
We had two Triple Winners in the 7 to 18 age group and one Double Winner in the 6 and Under age group. A triple and double winner are swimmers who win all of their individual heats that must be a main scorable heat. Congratulations to our triple winners Elijah Hammons and Caleb Uscio! Also congratulations to our double winner, Nathaniel LaMotte!
Most Improved swimmers include those who improved on all of their swims across the board! They include Kate Stephenson, Zoe Agro, Skylar Boice, Trey Leahey, Owen Mason, Kale Miller, Ben O’Brien, Keegan Sauer, Jude Tomaino, Lillian Vaughn, Ania Vollstedt, Amelia Alejo, Blake Dayhoff, Nathaniel LaMotte, and Allison Payton.
Our next meet on Tuesday June 16th is at home against the Heritage Betas.
