Riverwood Rays 2025 Swim Team Schedule
What’s involved for the swimmers?
The swim team season will last approximately eight weeks from May 27th to July 22nd. The team will compete in the Tarheel Swimming Association. The swim meets will be held on Tuesday nights starting June 10th. Meets will start at 6pm and all home meets will be at the Riverwood Athletic Center. Team members will show up to the pool approximately 1 hour prior to the start of the meet for warmups and meet setup. Meets last about 3 hours. Specific meet schedule information can be found on our Riverwood Swim Team Swimtopia page!
Team caps:
Team swim caps are required to be worn at all swim meets by the TSA this year. If you wear a cap in a meet it must be a green Riverwood Rays swim cap. You can order as many as you need when you sign up and the coaches will deliver them to you the first week of practice. Caps can also be purchased from Cole at the Riverwood office and one of the coaches will have some for sale at the meets.
Parent Involvement:
Parents MUST be involved in helping conduct the swim meets. One parent of each child will be required to help with scoring, timing, marshaling or officiating as well as set up and clean-up of the home meets. We will train you to do all of the jobs and pre-meet sign-ups will be required. Information will be sent out in May about signing up through Sign Up Genius (or like program) for all meets. Parents provide the transportation to all swim meets. Our parent TSA rep is Makenzie Yarborough.
PARENTS MEETING AT RIVERWOOOD OUTDOOR POOL AREA WEDNESDAY MAY 6th AT 6:00 PM
REGISTRATION:
You must register online .
REMINDER: Per the Tar Heel Swim Association(TSA) rules EVERY swimmer must belong to the club they are swimming for by the first day of practice so you MUST be a member of Riverwood Athletic Club (FSC Sports Club) to participate for the Riverwood Rays this summer.
If you are interested in joining, please see Charles Walker at the Riverwood Athletic Club front desk for membership information or ask me and I can point you in the right direction. This is not my or our rule…it is a league rule.
Lastly per the TSA, a child’s age as of 6/1/24 is the age group they will compete in ALL summer.
