Covid-19 New Policies:

• If your child, or anyone in the home has a fever over 100* STAY home…we will gladly reschedule your swim lessons.
• Have your swimmer enter already ready to swim, in their swim suit
• Please be on time
• If you are late or your child has to use the bathroom in an emergency, that time, in the lesson, will not be made up.
• Lessons are only 20 minutes!
• Stay 6 ft. apart at all times except the swimmer and the lesson instructor.
• Kickboards and noodles will be rinsed after each lesson. No goggles will be available to borrow and swim caps need to be on before lessons begin.

Registration & Session Enrollment

PLEASE NOTE: Some of these policies may be not be in effect due to special Covid-19 policies currently in place!

• New customer registration and Session enrollment is available online in Customer Portal, in person, or by phone. Payment is due at the time of Session enrollment.
• Each group class has a maximum of 3 spaces. Register early to guarantee your enrollment.
• Once registration is available for a Season’s Sessions, customers are encouraged to sign-up in advance for ALL preferred sessions. Doing this consolidates work for the customer and reserves placement. Feel free to consult with us for help in class placement and progression.
• If a student is the SOLE REGISTRANT or SOLE PARTICIPANT , HLSA will notify the customer in the event of a cancellation or transfer the enrollment to another class, or offer a refund. We will make every effort to match swimming abilities and ages within classes.
• Instructor requests are welcomed but CANNOT be guaranteed.
• HLSA DOES NOT automatically re –register customers for additional sessions, we will send out a reminder to re-register

Preparation for The First Day of Class

• For all swimming classes a swimsuit and a towel are required. Goggles are recommended for all levels
• Please arrive at least five (5) minutes before class is scheduled to start.
• Students are NOT allowed to enter the pool before class.
• Students are NOT allowed to stay in the pool after class unless you are a member of FSC Sportsclub
• Skill Knowledge and performance are evaluated on the first day to ensure all students are properly placed. If the instructor recommends a different level, please see us to make the necessary modifications to your registration.
• A parent or adult guardian is required to be in the water to participate in each Infant/Toddler class.

Student and Parent Protocol

• Children six (6) years and older must use the gender appropriate rest room.
• Parents should encourage their child to use the restroom before class and be available to take the child during class , if needed.
• Parents are allowed to wait and watch on the chairs and benches during classes. The pool decks must be kept clear for safety and to limit distraction.
• HLSA strives to keep a safe, family-friendly environment. In the circumstance that management feels someone is putting themselves in danger, putting others in danger, demonstrating inappropriate behavior, abusing the facility, or becoming aggressive, that person will be asked to leave the facility and their registration will be terminated.
• Management reserves the right to terminate registration at any point. In this event, an adjusted refund will be offered.

Absences & Make Up Classes

• Illness with Doctor’s Excuse: When a Doctor’s note is provided, we will work with you to put your student in a make-up class at no charge.
• All Other Absences: HLSA ONLY excuses and credits absences due to illness with a provided Doctor’s note. HLSA encourages you to attend all classes for which you registered.
• Make Up Classes: If there is space available within a current Session, you can purchase a make up class for $9.00. Make Up classes are never guaranteed and dependent upon availability.

Customer Cancellations, Changes, and Session Transfers

The DEADLINE for Session Changes, Cancellations, and/or Transfers is THREE DAYS prior to each Session’s starting date. Any Changes, Cancellations, and/or Transfers after this time will incur a penalty of $10.00 plus the charge of each class date that has already passed.

Pool Closing and HLSA Class Cancellations

• In the event of a pool closing due to extreme weather conditions, cancellation notices will be posted on our website: www.hlswimacademy.com. In addition, we will work with you to put the your student in a make-up class at no charge.you will be issued a credit towards your next registration.
• Riverwood Athletic Club pool is grounded and does not close during lightning or thunderstorms.
• In the unlikely occurrence of a class cancellation due to pool maintenance, instructor absence, or any other extenuating circumstance HLSA will notify the customer by email and/or phone of the cancellation. We will work with you to put the student in a make-up class at no charge.
