Client Testimonials

  • My wife and I wanted to express on how pleased we are with H&L Swim Academy. We enrolled our granddaughter in one of the first sessions in 2016. As our granddaughter swim ability improves, she continues to move up to the next level. We are very pleased with Scott Hammond and the swim instructors who are very positive and help build confidence in their students swimming ability. This is a great venue if you’re considering teaching your child/grandchild an extremely valuable lifelong lesson.

  • The swim lessons here have been such a great experience for my daughter. She loves her instructor Izzy and really feels comfortable and confident in the water after just a few weeks of classes.

  • Former swim instructor here. I'm SO pleased with my son & daughter's progress. They have so much more confidence in the water. In the few months of steady lessons my son is swimming 200-300 yards nonstop. My daughter is always eager to learn a new technique. The private lessons are worth every penny!

  • I came to H&L last year not just wanting to learn how to swim, but also wanting to get over my lifelong fear of deep water. Cole took me through the learning curve with careful attention. At first, I could barely get through a *single* 25-yard length without gasping for breath. A year later, my efficiency and speed has improved significantly - I can now get through a mile in an hour without losing a lung. Through H&L, I've been introduced to all four of the major strokes, as well as practical lessons like how to tread water. Most beneficial of all, my swim sessions are a great, low-impact, HIIT workout compared to my previous habit of running. Swimming twice a week takes care of all my cardio needs, with Cole still working on removing the last of my inefficiencies and mental blocks around endurance. Honestly, looking back on my time at H&L, signing up for that first lesson was probably the best health-related decision I've ever made.

  • I cannot say enough positive things about H&L Swim Academy. Everyone is so kind and easy to deal with. What began with a simple quest to get my toddler to learn how to swim ended with a new activity that my daughter looks forward to weekly. We love our instructors, Ms. Sheri and Miss Madison!! If you’re looking to get your little one more comfortable in the water (& swimming) I would not hesitate to get lessons here. If they are new to swim lessons I do recommend choosing private lessons. I’ve sat through so many lessons and observed many kids who, understandably, are weary of the pool and new instructors…it really disrupts the classes. Start with some private lessons and be patient…the comfort will come…and trust your instructors!! So many parents get weary and do not allow their kids the opportunity to rise to the occasion. Take a stroll and let the instructors work their magic, your kid will eventually love it if given the chance!!! If we are nervous, our kids will be too!! Just an observation that was also consistent with my personal experience…for whatever it is worth! No matter what class you choose, your child will be in the best of hands at H&L!!!

  • The instructors here are some of the best you will find. They teach the children with much tender loving care especially the very little ones. Knowing how to swim should be top priority if you have little one or just knowing how yourself as a adult it saves lives. The academy is clean from the water to the bathrooms where there shower for after swim. Never a shortage on instructors just hard sometimes booking a lesson. When people fine out how good they are and the pricing lessons go real fast. I give H&L Academy 10 thumbs up!!
