The Riverwood Rays summer swim team, which competes in the Tarheel Swimming Association (based in Raleigh), has been crowned Division Champions for the 2026 season.
The team won all head to head divisional matchups beating the Heritage Betas (June 16), Bedford Sharks (June 30), and Durant Trails Typhoons (July 7).
The team finished the 2026 season with a 5-1 overall record, bouncing back from a 1-5 finish in 2025.
Riverwood’s Head Coach, Andrew Johnson credits the team’s accomplishment to the continuous improvement of the 115 swimmers throughout the 6-week summer season. He added, “Our swimmers have worked hard this summer to refine their stroke technique and gain speed to win close races.” Swimmers compete in individual and relay events to score team points.
